I am in complete shock. I cannot believe that my baby boy is 7 months old today!!! While I am super excited and proud of all of the things that my precious Jaden is learning and doing, I am also a little sad that he is growing up so fast! Everybody tells you that your kids grow up in the blink of an eye, but until it's YOUR child you can't truly understand. How can it be that Jaden is more that halfway to his first birthday when I can still so vividly remember seeing the results of the positive pregnancy tests and the elation Matthew and I felt?? It feels like just yesterday when we found out the news that we were having a boy and got to work preparing his nursery! Has it really been that long since we excitedly drove to the hospital knowing that we would be coming back home with sweet Jaden in our arms? WOW is about all I can say. I have loved EVERY second with my perfect baby, and I look forward to all the future seconds I have with him as he grows into a toddler, boy, tween, teen, young man, and adult. :)
Some of the things he is doing now include rolling over constantly (even during diaper changes!!), babbling, laughing a lot (he is such a happy baby), eating solids (his favorites are carrots and sweet potatoes), sitting up (sometimes with help, sometimes by himself for several minutes, always placed in position by one of us), stomach crunches (one of these days, he will pull himself all the way up), picking up small things with his fingers, reaching for things he wants, grasping things tightly, moving things from one hand to the other, drinking from a sippy cup (kind of), holding the bottle while Daddy feeds him, sleeping up to 12 hours at night, laying on his tummy and using his arms to scoot himself backwards to where he wants to go, and (his latest accomplishment) getting on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth. He is so much fun to play with, and I love him with all of my heart. I am so proud to be his Mommy!
